A team you want to involve again and again

The Toimi team approached the project systematically — not only from a visual design perspective, but also in terms of deeper meaning and positioning. Together, we redefined how we talk about our products and communicate their value to clients. The result exceeded expectations: a thoughtful brand identity and a modern, user-friendly website. These changes have already influenced how the company is perceived — clients and partners now respond to Brealit differently.

FAQ

If you still have questions, email us at info@toimi.pro or fill out the contact form below.

Do you work with New York-based startups and companies?

Yes — New York is one of our core markets. We work with teams at every stage: solo founders validating an idea out of a coworking space in Flatiron or DUMBO, funded startups hiring their first product team, and established operators in finance, media, and retail who need a partner that can ship without hand-holding. New York clients tend to arrive with a deadline attached — a fundraise, a season, a board meeting — and we structure engagements around that reality rather than around an idealized roadmap.

What types of New York businesses do you typically work with?

Our New York clients cluster around the industries the city actually runs on: financial services and fintech, media and publishing, advertising and adtech, fashion and direct-to-consumer retail, real estate and proptech, plus healthcare and legal services. That mix spans Wall Street firms with procurement processes and Brooklyn studios with a two-person team. We also work with the layer underneath — agencies, professional services firms, and B2B suppliers whose customers are New York companies and who are judged by the same standards.

How much does web development or app development cost in New York?

It depends entirely on scope. A marketing site for a boutique firm and a transactional platform handling payments are different projects in every dimension that matters — timeline, team, testing, and risk. Instead of publishing a rate card that would be wrong for most people reading it, we start with a free consultation, scope the work, and give you a written estimate you can take to a partner or a board. We offer fixed-price for well-defined scopes, monthly retainers for ongoing work, and time-and-materials where requirements are genuinely still moving. No hidden line items.

How long does it take to build a website or app?

A custom business website typically runs 6–10 weeks from kickoff to launch. Web applications and internal platforms take 3–4 months. Mobile apps range from 3–6 months depending on features, integrations, and app store review. After discovery we hand over a milestone plan covering design, development, QA, and deployment. If you are working against a hard New York date — a fashion week, a quarterly close, a funding announcement — tell us at the start and we will scope backwards from it rather than discovering the conflict in week seven.

Do I need to be based in New York to work with you?

No. New York is one of our primary markets, but we work remotely with clients across the tri-state area and the rest of the US. Day-to-day collaboration runs on Slack, Zoom, Figma, and a shared project board — the same stack most New York teams already live in. If you prefer scheduled in-person checkpoints, we build them into the plan. What matters more than geography is response time, and that is something we commit to in writing.

What technologies do you use for New York projects?

We build with production-ready stacks: React, Next.js, and Vue.js on the front end; Node.js, Python, and PostgreSQL on the back end; Flutter and React Native for cross-platform mobile. For New York's financial and commerce-heavy work we integrate payment providers such as Stripe, KYC and identity vendors, and reporting pipelines, and we deploy on AWS or Vercel depending on where your compliance and cost constraints land. We do not push a single stack — we pick what your team can maintain after we hand it over.

Can you build to accessibility and compliance requirements?

Yes, and in New York this is worth taking seriously up front. Digital accessibility claims are filed here more often than in any other US jurisdiction, and remediating a live site after a demand letter costs far more than building to WCAG from the first wireframe. We design and test against WCAG 2.1 AA — keyboard paths, contrast, focus order, screen-reader labels — and document what was checked. For regulated clients we also work within the requirements your counsel sets, whether that is NYDFS cybersecurity rules for financial services, SOC 2 evidence for enterprise sales, or bias-audit obligations under New York City's Local Law 144 for automated hiring tools.

Can you help with UI/UX design, or only development?

We cover the full product lifecycle — research, prototyping, UI/UX design, front-end and back-end development, QA, and deployment. New York audiences are impatient and comparison-shop constantly, so an interface that merely works is not enough; it has to be legible in eight seconds on a phone with one bar of signal on a subway platform. We start from whatever you have — a napkin sketch, a competitor you admire, or a legacy product you have outgrown — and you do not need finished mockups to begin.

Do you provide support and maintenance after launch?

Yes. Launch is the start of the expensive part, not the end of it. Our post-launch packages cover performance monitoring, bug fixes, security patching, analytics, and iterative feature work. A large share of our New York clients move from a build engagement onto a monthly retainer once real traffic starts producing real feedback — particularly e-commerce and marketplace clients, where a slow checkout on a peak weekend is measured directly in lost revenue.

Do you sign an NDA before discussing project details?

Always, on request, and before any detailed conversation. A lot of our New York work touches unreleased products, deal flow, client lists, or material non-public information, and several of our clients are contractually required to paper the relationship before the first technical call. Send us your standard form and we will turn it around quickly rather than insisting on our own.

It means a lot for us to hear from you.
